Cutting curly hair

Soo DD is 3 1/2 with these amazing curls!! I've never cut her hair before. But they are getting so knotty, i think its time for a cut.

Any one else cut their curly girl's hair. Any advice? Recommendations of places to go in the city? I'll check out Ouidad, but since they charge $250 for a woman's hair cut, I'm afraid to see what they charge for a child.

THanks!

ETA: Here's a pictures of my gorgeous curly haired girl.

Re: Cutting curly hair

I wish I knew someone in the city. But do your research. i have curly hair and so does Kryssy . i lucked out at super cuts with a great lady and it is only 3 mins. from my house. It took me forever to find someone after my other girl retired. and it turned out to be right around the corner. good luck, curls are the worst. I HATE mine!

Alexandra has SUPER curly hair, she's gotten it cut twice, this time I got a little bit of layering on the sides & the back, I like it when it's kind of short/shoulder length at this age.Chat Icon
I just go to my girl, she does a good job. Don't know anyone in the city, sorry!

Re: Cutting curly hair

You don't need to have Quidad herself cut your Daughter's hair - any of her stylists can do the same exact job for less than half of that price.

I used to go there & when my regular stylist was out Quidad cut my hair - it was no different or special.

I also highly recommend Curlisto - Christo's 5th Ave Christo was Quidad's right hand man years ago & around 2002 opened up his own salon.

Good luck.
