Cutting tags off of toys

Just posting in case you guys haven't read it in April's Parenting Magazine..

There was an article about an child that had her cornea scratched from a tag on her stuffed animal. I think this tag was the washing instructions. I'll try to see if I still have the magazine but I've started ripping all of those tags from the beanie babies that Maddie has.

Supposedly the ER doctor told the mom it was a very common thing.

YES I read this article and after my shower I spent forever cutting the tages off everything. Now anything new that I get - tags come right off too!

Re: Cutting tags off of toys

So I guess that it is a bad thing that my daughters favorite thing on all her toys is the tag!!!

She plays with the tag more than the actual toy.
