Cycle cancelled
Well all this for nothing this cycle. After 7 days on stims and one day of coasting, my IVF was cancelled this cycle 
It was do to high estrogen levels and then during coasting it dropped way too much.
They said next cycle I'll start with a much lower dose of meds.
So I just had a good cry, but now I'm ready to get ready and try again. Does anyone know how long I'll have to wait?
I see the Dr. again on Monday but I'm just curious now.

I am so sorry.  Didn't they tell you when you can start again? Max I would think would be one cycle off.

I am soooo sorry. My IVF was cancelled after 8 days of stims a couple of weeks ago so I know exactly how you feel. I don't have to take any time off though. I will be starting bcps again if AF shows this week. I am so sorry. It really s*ucks!!!

on the bright side, you know you stim well. your cycle was cancelled because you responded too well, not becuse you didnt respond well enough.
Alot of IVF is about trial and error, we learn from every cycle.Next time will be great for you.

I'm sorry. I remember how upset I was when they cancelled my last IUI cycle... it stinks to go thru all the injections, etc... for nothing. As PP said though, try to look at it as positively as you can- that you responded 'too well'... here's lots of  for next time!!!

I'm sorry your cycle was cancelled. As Pauline said, there is a big learning curve with IVF cycles. Everyone responds differently. Now that they know, they will adjust your meds and hopefully everything will be fine. Better a cancelled cycle than ending up in the hospital and having to be drained.

I am sorry this happened to you but it's safer for you in the long run. OHSS is a bad thing and your Dr. did the right thing by preventing it.

Thanks for the responses everyone. Your support here really makes it easier to get through all this. I'm taking your advice and looking on the bright side, at least I got a break from having to wake up at 6am today to go and get my blood work. Now I'm just getting myself prepared for the next cycle.

I dont know how to answer yoru questions, but Im so sorry, that must be so dissapointing, I knwo you mentally get yourself "ready" and then cancelling must hit hard.
