cycle day 48 and af arrived :( long

i just wrote this whole topic and pressed submit and it vanished!

so yesterday i got af on cycle day 48....i am so sad..i haven't told dh yet-i will tell him today...he is goin g to be sooo upset..i hat that i have to tell him this....he wanted to test again on christmas (how cute is he--he said hopefully he'll get a gift!)...i hate that i have to tell him about af--he wants this soooo bad

my af is very regular...29-31 days ---my last three were: 31, 30, 32....and that 32 cycle was a few days longer than usual for me---the majority is 29/30...i didn't test that cycle but, i think i had a cp that cycle...i felt dizzy, craved things that i normally don't, went to the br more, etc.....just felt different than usual....i was wondering that if i did indeed have a cp, if that is why this cycle is thrown off? anyone have any thoughts on this? this cycle was a horribly long wait....i should be on my way to trying again soon but, no, instead i am just beginning i will not try again til january's cylce--hoping to get regular again...i took 3 dollar tree tests and 2 'good tests' and they were all bfn...i was hoping that my levels were just low...but then stupid af arrived.....oh well, thanks for letting me vent and i have a few ?
1-are dollar tree tests good? has anyone gotten a bfp from them?
2i take rainbow lite prenatals, bought white grape fruit juice (which i hate :))...is there anything else that could improve my chances..should i be taking any other vitamins 0r eating anything else? thanks for reading this very long post...love this board since i haven't told any fam/friends that we are trying -i am glad that i can talk here!!

lots of things can throw off your cycle, including stress, and make you ovulate late or not at all (both of which would lengthen your cycle). i think a chemical can do that, but i don't know how to tell if you had one - the only people i know who know they've had them got bfp's one day and then were not pregnant a day or two later so that's how it was picked up, by a really early bfp. i've heard robitussin can increase cm too - not sure if that's better or worse than grapefruit juice. anyway, i don't have any real advice but i've been there and wanted to say good luck -

I wish I had some advice to offer, but this is only my 2nd cycle and I'm still trying to figure it all out ...

I did want to send you some hugs though! I can imagine how hard it will be to tell your DH, just remember that you 2 are in this journey together!
