Cyst Question
So they told me today I have a cyst on my ovary. She said the blood work will tell us if it's active or not. If it's active I can't even TTC this month I guess b/c of increased estrogen things won't work right?
I asked her what we do for it and she said nothing. Just look again next month and it should be gone?
Anyone experience this? Did the cyst actually go away and you were good the next cycle?

Re: Cyst Question
yes, cysts do go away on their own. They usually monitor the cyst and a lot of times will go away once your period ends.

Re: Cyst Question
I've had cysts that have gone away and one that didn't. The cysts that come and go are usually visible right after ovulation. The one that didn't was a chocolate cysts as a result of endo that I had to have removed.

Re: Cyst Question
Depending on what type of cyst it is will decide what treatment to go for. Some cysts go away with BCP and others may have to be removed. I have had two Corpus Luteum cysts that did not drain so I unfortunately had to have a laparoscopies to remove them
When my RE first found the cyst he had me continue Clomid and go ahead with TTC. As long as I had not pain he was fine with leaving the cysts as is. After that cycle failed, we decided to remove the cyst as it had grown so large that no follies were producing in the ovary. I had it removed in early October and went in for an U/S last week. We found out that the ovary produced a lot of little follies, but were not mature enough to increase our chance this cycle. But the good news is that my ovary is working and now I am TTC with 2 ovaries, and not just one. HTH.

Re: Cyst Question
Thanks for the info girls. She said my blood work shows it's not an active cyst so we're going ahead with the Femara. Now I just have to figure what we're going to do about IUI. If we'll try Femara and timed intercourse or pay out of pocket for the IUI.
