D&C girls...
did you have any sharp pains in lower abdomen area up to 1 month after procedure? D&C was 1 month and 1 week ago and for the past week and a half i've been getting sharp pains in the lower ab area.

Re: D&C girls...
Could it be AF on her way? My first AF after this past miscarriage was the absolute worst. I had very heavy cramping for a couple of days but I knew it was her coming so I really didn't question it. If it's too painful, it doesn't hurt to give a call to your dr. to check things out.

Re: D&C girls...
waiiiitttt a hot minute. The ins. co. is denying your D&C claim? Was it billed incorrectly or something? What does your explanation of benefits say? Did you speak with your ins or your Dr.s office? There has to be a mistake. I honestly speak to my Ins. co every week, actually I'll be calling tomorrow! I call up, speak to the rep and immediately ask to speak rapid resolutions right to get everything taken care of. It takes alot of patience to straighten those bills out but it's worth it.

Re: D&C girls...
yeah...I'm soooo confused! Apparently the OFFICE (garden city plaza) I went to was in network but the Dr. who did my procedures working out of that office is not. I never requested her...I saw whatever doctor they had available to me. I just got a bill for almost $5,000 and it says my "patient responsibility is approx $2400 there is also a note on the bill that says
"please contact your insurance plan to appeal for more money to be paid on your claim. your patient responsibility is $2141. I advise that you write a hardship letter stating that you are not able to pay this large amount"
this seems shady to me. like they are overcharging me in the hopes my insurance will pick up the tab.
Also...I see I was charged twice for "Vascular Study" at $650 each time. what the F is "Vascular Study" and why is it necessary? I don't recall this procedure.

sorry to hear this! the horror's of this ordeal seem to never end huh?? I hope you get this all straightened out. I hate when INS companies pull stuff like this.
As far as the cramps are concerned... I had cramps forever after the DNC. I still get strange random cramps all of a sudden. IDK what it's from... but all I can relate it to is the DNC since I wasn't like that before. Actually I've had cramps since I got pregnant in November. But def not before that (unless AF was due).
My 2nd period was the worst. My first wasn't soo bad. It was the 2nd that was terrible for me.

Re: D&C girls...
ok so i called my insurance and they said that it was up to the Dr's office wether they would charge me the balance or not since the Dr. who did the procedure was out of network (even though the facility / office was in network) I was unaware of that so...I called the billing office for my practitioner who told me to call the supervisor of the Dr's office. I spoke to the supervisor and she was very nice and told me to mail back the bill with a note on it saying i didn't know that doctor was not in network. and she'd "take care of it". what that means I'm not too sure.

Re: D&C girls...
I have D & C almost 6 weeks ago and still no AF. Every once and a while I do get a sharp pain or some slight cramping. It usually only lasts for a few seconds so I'm not worried. Did you get AF yet? I haven't and I cant wait anymore!!!!

Re: D&C girls...
I hope it comes soon! Good luck! I have a fews weeks left but then I will not able to TTC for an undeterminable amount of time due to unrelated medical issues so I am completely devastated at the moment.
