D&C scheduled for tomorrow afternoon + another non-d&c question

So, I am having my D&C tomorrow at 1:30...and of course on the weekend that my babysitter is going out of town and my parents are away...should be interesting.

My question is, actually 1 have 2,...
I have a sono picture-did you ladies keep yours? I can't bring myself to do anything with it, but at this point, having it just makes me feel worse; though I can't stop looking at it.
My other question is- I wear a necklace w/ my boys' initials & the word 'mom' on discs. Would it be silly to get a disc w/ a butterfly on it to symbolize this baby/loss? do you think that's ok? Or is it kind of dysfunctional? I'm a bit of an emotional disaster right now.
Thanks for reading.

Re: D&C scheduled for tomorrow afternoon + another non-d&c question

I had a late loss (my son was born at 21w5d) I put all of our sono pics away. I didn't get rid of them in case I wanted them -- which I'm thankful for. I looked at them today (it's been just over a month)

I think adding to your necklace is a great idea. No matter what you will always remember that baby. Why not honor him/her the same way you do the children you have that are here? JMO

I was planning to get a tattoo for DS1 when I found out I was pregnant again...now I'm getting something for both of my boys.

I would not get rid of the sono picture yet. I put mine away as it was just too painful to look at it. I do think in time I will be glad I have it and you might too.

I think adding to your necklace is a sweet idea and a really nice way to keep this baby in your memory.

Lots and lots of luck to you tomorrowChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'm very sorry for your loss.

I saved my sono photos. I couldn't throw them or anything else away because I couldn't just act as if the baby never existed because I had already loved her. I have everything saved in a box.

I also have a necklace that my husband got me to always remember our baby. I think something would be nice if it will make you feel better.

I say do whatever it is that you think will help you to copeChat Icon

I'm so sorry. I think you should hold onto the sono until your ready to make a decision about what you really want to do with it. I think the butterfly charm for your necklace is a really sweet way to always remember this baby. Chat Icon

Thanks everyone. I'm going to the Helen Ficalora store to get the charm this weekend & for now, the sono pic is in my calendar. Had the D&C, I'm glad it's over and physically I feel fine. Not sure where we go from here......so surreal. Thank you again.
