Re: Daffy's (in NYC)

Last time I was there I got a ton of stuff BUT I had to literally crawl over people to get it & the store is a mess.

If you have the patience though it can make for some good shopping.

Def. hit or miss. I have gotten a lot of stuff from them over the years - but you have to look. I get a lot of Tracy Reese clothes there, and cashmere.

Re: Daffy's (in NYC)

There are a few locations - one on 18th St and Broadway/5th, and here on 44th & Madison.

I definitely like Lohmann's a lot better b/c they have better quality and quantity items. For some strange reason, evertime I buy womens' items from Daffy's they have a hole somewhere, and being Inspector Gadget I missed it in the store.

It can be compared to being a Marshall's or TJ Maxx....nothing to go out of your way for.

However, I will say that the dress-shirts I find for DH there are an absolute bargain!

Re: Daffy's (in NYC)

I like Daffy's for DH's clothes. Daffy's carries European designers. The fabrics are very soft.

The one at 18th and 5th was great for men's shirts. But the last time I stopped by that location, it was closed.

There's another location at 57th off Lex that is good for men's clothes, also. I found DH a nice Italian coat that was greatly reduced and he found some nice shirts, also.

They also have one downtown on Broadway right below Wall Street.

I agree that it's hit or miss. I've found things in there occasionally but, I don't go often because I don't have the patience.

The one on 18th and 5th is now an H&M.
