Re: daily food menus for 4-6 month olds
DS is 4 and 1/2 months and we've done rice for 2 weeks, oatmeal for 1 week and will be starting green veggies tomorrow. I usually feed him the cereal during his 5 pm bottle b/c its the most convenient time. After that we'll do some more green veggies for a few days then move to orange/yellow veggies before moving on to fruits.

Re: daily food menus for 4-6 month olds
here was my schedule- from 4-5 months i only did 2 meals a day- and it was wake up, nursed, an hour and a half later, i did gerber cereal mixed with one of the gerber fruits, then she would take a nap- after she woke, i would nurse, and again, an hour later do the cereal (rice or barley or oatmeal, whichever) with a veggie like carrots or peas squash or sweet potatoes....another nap, and then she woke, i would nurse, play, all that, and nurse before bed.....after she was 5 months, i did 3 meals a day, same order, and after the 2nd nap i wouldnt nurse, i would just wait about an hour and do dinner, and then at bedtime she would get nursed....when she turned 6 months, i replaced all the gerber jarred foods with the real stuff (i used the jar stuff to get a feeling about what she would like), and i would use a food processor and make her potatoes, carrots, peas, beans, broccoli, i also started making her pastini with sauce, i would often do regular human (haha) oatmeal, pancakes, french toast, the no sugar added applesauce or i would make homeade....at 7 months i added yogurt, and thats when she started to get the hang of picking up food and feeding herself (about 8 months), and since then she gets everything i would make for myself....hope this helps!
