How did it feel to officially pull into your driveway
We didnt pull into the driveway yet - After the closing it took 1 hour to get home, because of traffic and then we went to get dinner...We will be going there tomorrow....
The closing was so smooth and it only took 1.5 hours...We signed our names soo much - It was insane

How exciting!!! You'll be going to your home tomorrow.
Oh gosh I know the feeling. Signing is the worst.
What was insane for me is when we purchased the lot we werent married so half the land papers were in my maiden name. Then most of the house papers for me were in my married name. Some were in both my maiden and married name.
I forgot who I was after a while

Thanks....Well Danielle never changed her last name - so we had two last names on all of the papers that we signed.
Get this - after the closing in the parking lot, the real estate agent that the seller used, came up to us and said, guess what...He said I am your neighbor...So Danielle and I were like, No way...and he said Yeah, I live next door to you....Its a good thing we like him lol.....He is going to be a really good neighbor. His wife is really nice too...Wemet her. My mother in law was talking to her one day when we went to the house...How odd is that??

You know what - It hasnt hit us....I dont think it will until we get the first mortgage bill...It is crazy...I just cannot believe we own a house now....I wish my mom was here to share this with us.
We are going to start doing some work this weekend....And we are having a little family get together at the house saturday evening...Just Pizza and Champagne.
My inlaws bought us our house warming gift already. I cannot believe what they got us either. A really nice Outdoor patio set...with a huge table that fits 8 comfortably, chairs, and two little end tables.....Crazy

It definitely takes a while for it to *hit* you that it it YOUR house. And every once & a while DH & I just look around & go...this is ours. Its a great feeling.
I know it is not the same, but I truly believe that all you went through to find the perfect home for you& Danielle that your angel was with you every step of the way (and apparently made sure you had great neighbors too!)
That is so nice of your in-laws...they must be so happy for you.
