Dark bedroom furniture... what bedding and wall colors?

For those with dark bedroom furniture (espresso or black), what wall colors do you have? What bedding did you have?

I want to redo our bedroom and want to keep the walls somewhat neutral (not afraid of color though) so I can switch up the bedding for the different seasons and add pops of color throughout using accessories and not have the different color combos clash with the wall color every time I change things up, which is often. Also, I'm shopping for new bedding. For wall color I was thinking a (lighter) greyish/blue that way I can use pretty much any bedding/accessory color with it (is that way off? I'm so bad at this lol)...

And I'm thinking keep the curtains crisp, sheer and white or ivory so they don't compete with the ever-changing color schemes......

Trying to visualize all this. Can you post pics? Please give feedback and ideas.

Our bedroom is painted revere pewter (BM). Our bedding set is black and cream with teal accents. And the other accents in the room are mostly teal. I like the grey because I agree with you - I can change our room/bedding set to so many other colors when I decide to (red, purple, yellow)

I have a celery color on the walls. Bedding is white with black and green large graphic on it.

I actually just re-did my bedroom and I LOVE it!! We did shades of gray which would look great with really dark furniture. The bedding you could go with a lot...White, Yellow, purple, light blue....

Tons of stuff goes with gray...

I have dark wood furniture and espresso colored carpet in my master bedroom. Walls are SW Rainwashed (a soft blue-green) with white trim. I have had various bedding in whites, creams, tan/ latte, and coordinating blue- green colors. Windows have cream colored roman shades.

I love blues and greens, and find the color palette soothing.

I have high sloped ceilings, so 1/4 of the 'wall' is whtie - the rest is pale blue. This is the pic I got the idea from - I don't have a pic of MY room, but it's very simiilar

Our bedding is light blue/green/white paisley

We have BM Shaker beige on the walls, black furniture and I have a black with red comforter set. We have white on the windows and it looks great!

We have grey walls with dark espresso furniture. Right now we have a white coverlet with grey and yellow/lime accent pillows. I love our new grey wals because I fel like I can easily switch our pillows or coverlet and change the whole look.

We went with bm greenbrier beige. White quilt/ coverlet. Pics in album

Benjamin Moore shabby chic. Restoration hardware Italian hotel linen collection. White duvet, chocolate stripe. Chocolate, diamond matelasse quilt and shams. i have it on year round. It's timeless and season less in my opinion.

BM revere pewter is also on our walls. Our furniture is expresso and we have grey carpet. We just got a pale green comforter and a brown and green. I love the neutral paint color as I didn't want to worry about the comforter clashing with the walls.

Our furniture is black and we have BM Adagio on our walls. it's a blue/grey color but in our room looks more blue.

BM muslin on the walls. Furniture is dark wood, headboard/footboard is cream upholstery.
Floors are medium stained oak. We have a lot of large white window, door, base and crown molding.
I like having the basics neutral enough to switch out bedding and accessories whenever I find something in home goods I love

We have a distressed black french country wooden bedroom set -- well, the dresser, mirror, and nightstands. The bed itself is a wrought-iron, traditional scroll headboard. Anyway, black is the color so I went with something cool, crisp, and 'uplifting' on the walls -- with some recs from LIFers we did BM Nantucket Fog. GREAT color. It offsets the black, goes with the overall french-country feel, and looks great with wood floors too. LOVE it!

We have black cherry furniture with BM Adagio on our walls (looks more grey than blue). White curtains, white pintuck comforter, and very light silvery blue paisley sheets.

After you chose your color of paint, it may be a good idea to add some wall stickers like a border or beautiful quote to the space to give it that extra sort of flare! I found a great company called WallPops that offers such a wide variety of designs, it is definitely worth checking out! Good luck!

Our bedroom is gray with espresso furniture. We have a darker gray shag area rug under the bed and a gray bench on the end. Our bedding right now is a reddish, coral color with white graphics.

BM Novemeber Skies on the walls (a very peaceful blue)
White curtains
Bedding is shades of pale blue and dark brown

We have dark furniture, light grey carpet and Dantes Peak on the walls. Its a blueish Benjamin Moore color. Curtains are white & same color blue.
