I give $25/teacher - which seems to be the norm where we go.

If there are 2 main teachers like in DD's class now- they get $50 each.
One year she had a small class with just one main teacher so we gave her $100


ETA- I don't give anything to the directors and teachers who float in and out. I don't' even know who they are half the time, it's always someone different when i come to get her at night.

i don't know I vary from each year. one year I think I did $40 last year I think I did $30 cause I had like 4 teachers to buy for! this year I am going to maybe have about 6 or 7 teachers to buy for cause now I have 2 kids in daycare.

I have no idea how much I am going to do this year maybe $25 I don't know if that cheap or not cause I know some people do $100+.

Also I feel I have to give everyone the same amount. the only people I don't do that for our the directors. I just give them something small.

on top of that I have teachers that are constantly in there as floaters do I have to give them something If so how much. by the end I will basically be almost buying for the whole daycare!

I have been debating about just getting breakfast or lunch for all of them.

I hate this time of the year just for this reason!

My daughter has 2 teachers. I am giving both teachers $50.00 and the receptionist (who is always so helpful if I call or have questions) $25.00.

I love my DDs daycare, if I could give them more I would. They are worth every penny.

Older DC has 2 main teachers, one of which I have never interacted with. Younger has 1 main teacher (I think). I guess I will be giving them $50 each.

There are also plenty of floaters, and I happen to really love them, so I will probably give the same. I'm going to have to request a list from the director of who exactly interacts with my kids on a daily basis. It's going to get expensive which sucks, but I love each and every one of them and would give even more if I could.

I was thinking at least 50 for the 2 main teachers. I've been so happy with the care my 4 month old receives there. But the Director/Manager spends a lot of time with my baby as well. She takes over for the room after the main teachers leave for the day and helps when all the babies need bottles at the same time etc. Would you give her a gift as well?

Darn! I hate this time of the year too and not knowing what to do. Last year I gave $50 gc to the teachers. But this year I am going to do cash. But the director I didn't get anything last year! She's not a classroom teacher. So now do I get her something and what? Or not because last year I didn't?

Depends on the room I think. I probably would give less to the assistant. But my son is 4.5 months and in the infant room so I feel both teachers do the same amount work.

I work in a school and typically parents give less to the teacher asistants than the main teacher.

Last year I did $50 a piece to the 2 mains and $25 to the assistant. This year she moved up 3x so that's 7 teachers. Original two are getting $25 a piece and a keychain. All others are getting $20 and an ornament. I also bring in a bagel platter the week before for everyone. Next year ill go back to $50 a piece as long as she stays in that room.

I give the 2 teachers $50 each. Director and assistant director get a $20 target GC.

I plan on doing the same as last year: $50 to each of the 2 main teachers (one is technically lead and one assistant but they spend the same face-to-face time with dd daily), and then a token gift to the regular floaters. Last year it was mugs with hot chocolate mix and chocolates. Just something to show they are appreciated. Whatever Costco has in multiple gift packs. I chipped on with friends who use the same daycare to get the main office a fruit platter.

Last year I did 50 to owner/20 for each assistant (2). I didn't know what to give either. We did GCs not cash.
