Daycare waiting lists - Has anyone here actually ever gotten called
If you were on a waiting list at a particular daycare center - did you ever actually get called?

Nope I was on two waiting lists since I was 7 months preggo and Grace is almost 7 months old. I found one in someone's home and that has worked out GREAT for us.

I did with Little Sponges - when they switched from ther house to the temple and were able to take new kids.

Never got called back.... but I called one place that I put my name on a waiting list and asked about vacancies. They told me they had some and to come in and bring Nates records. When I told them that I was on a "list" they said that parents are supposed to call periodically to check bc sometimes they don't have time to call.

I did and I didn't. I found a place I loved. Thought they had a part time spot for me like I wanted then it turned out to be only 1 day a week or F/T. I wasn't ready for F/T and 1 day a week was just not worth it. So I told them put me on the list for the next available part time or f/t spot - hoping that I'll be ready to take him away from my Dad F/T by the time it's my turn on the list.

I did. I put Jordana on a list when I was 6 months pregnant. I called in May (she was born in April) to see what was going on. In June i got a call that there was an opening for her. She started Aug. 1 which worked out well since I went back to work in mid July. My mom watched her for those first 2 weeks- which was a very good transition for me.
