Our DD recently did this, too. She was waking up 2, 3, sometimes 4 times a night. She had NEVER done that before, not even as a NB Chat Icon It lasted about a month and a half unfortunately, but now she's back to sleeping through the night again.

We went through the same thing here.

DD was sleeping through the night since 8 weeks but at around the start of 5 months she started waking at like 3 am... It only lasted a couple of weeks and I think it's because she got her first 2 teeth.

DD is 6 months now and back to fully sleeping through the night :)

Totally normal and it happens for a bunch of reasons depending on the age of your child. The biggest culprit is probably teething. It could also be if they just learned how to crawl, sit up or pull themselves them they kind of wake up during the night because they are so excited by their new accomplishments. Depending on the age separation anxiety might also be a factor.

I would suggest not giving a bottle though. If you do that they think that has become part of the normal routine and they will start waking up to look for it.

Re: DC sleeping through the night and all of a sudden waking up again?

My only question is could it also be a growth spurt? She was screaming at 11 last night and drained an 8 ounce bottle and then woke up at 510 for the day and drained another 8 ounce bottle...
I have her taking cereal in the am and pm but she is really getting a serious appetite...it is tough bc if she is starving i am afraid to not feed her...
I remember our last growth spurt at close to 3 months, she got up every 2-3 hours for a week to drain bottles! Then again, if it is teething, i def dont want to get her in the habit of bottles at night again, ugh!
