DD broke out into hives last night

She was sleeping and woke up at 3am crying. I felt like she needed a new diaper and when I laid her down, she was covered in hives except for where her diaper area. She didn't eat anything new, except that she wore a new onesie and I'm almost certain it wasn't washed. Gave her benadryl and the hives subsided but her face is still puffy. She looks like a different child. I can't imagine what my baby is going through.

I feel like a rotten mom, I should have known the onesie was new.. very stupid of me. We made an appt. with a pediatric allergy specialist.. just praying it was the clothes and nothing else. I'm worried sick. DH and I both have food sensitivities and I just pray, pray, pray that my DD is spared.

How old is your DD? Just because she didn't eat anything new doesn't mean it wasn't a reaction to something she ate.
Good luck with allergist. My DS has multiple food allergies, and you learn how to deal with it, if that what it turns out being.

she is 14 months.. keeping fingers crossed it was just a fluke..
