DD is 6 weeks (BFing ?)
Is it normal to still be leaking like a sive <sp>? I'm still needing to change the breast pads quite often.
DD only nurses from 1 breast per feeding. I'm assuming she's getting enough because she refuses to relatch once she's done and she seems satisfied. She has normal amounts of poops/wet dipes as well.
I suppose I should start draining the second breast at each feeding with the pump (I'll be going back to work in a few weeks).

That is exactly what I would do. Especially if you are in any kind of pain from being engorged.

I was a major leaker. Lanisinoh disposable pads were my best friend.

I was never much of a leaker, but since you're going back to work, I would suggest pumping while/after nursing. It will help you build up a supply for bottles and it should help elleviate the leaking a bit.

Re: DD is 6 weeks (BFing ?)
I leak a lot if I dont pump or if DS doesnt feed from both breasts. I remember waking up in a pool of breastmilk one night. But its not that bad now and DS is 5 weeks.

Re: DD is 6 weeks (BFing ?)
The leaking slowed down a lot after a while, and I was just producing what DD needed. If you pump, you may find that you continue to leak since your body will keep producing more than your baby really needs.

I agree, pumping would potentially increase your supply which could increase leakage, but in your case if you are going back to work you can pump now to build up a supply of frozen BM. I never had that big a problem with leakage but I think it should get better as you and your baby get on more of a schedule and your body figures out how much milk to make and at what time.
