DD waking on her belly crying..

DD is about 7 mos and usually sleeps pretty well but lately has been waking up a couple of times a night on her belly crying. Could this be gas? I pick her up to check her diaper and she cries when I lay her down on the changing table and gets really upset. When we're done, I usually nurse her back to sleep, thinking maybe she's hungry..

She has become a side/belly sleeper since getting the whole roll-over thing happening :)

She will sometimes burp when we are just holding/consoling her.. But I'm not sure if she is waking due to gas or hunger. Any advice would be appreciated!

I'm trying to wean the night feedings, so that's why I'm trying to determine if its hunger or gas or something else..

Thanks so much!

Re: DD waking on her belly crying..

My DD is almost 8 months and has recently started rolling onto her belly in the night. She hasn't figured out how to roll back so when she's frustrated enough then she cries for us. We just go in and turn her back over. I actually send DH to do it b/c I am nursing and when she sees me she thinks it must be time to eat! She goes right back to sleep after he flips her over.
Hopefully that is all it is for your DD.

ETA: My DD hates to be on her belly!
