DD won't sleep in her bassinet, any ideas what to do?

I bought Nature's Purest Bassinet from BRU in hopes that DD would sleep in it in our room. But she doesn't like it and cries whenever we put her in it. She does like the bassinet in the Pack N Play. We moved that in to our bedroom, but now we don't have anywhere to put her down in the living room.

Any ideas about how to get DD to sleep in her bassinet? Are there any pads or anything that I can put in it? I don't want to buy another Pack N Play.

Not sure if it will help or not, but when I got my bassinet, I wasn't happy with the mattress that came with it so I went to BRU and bought a nicer one. I want to say it was less than $20, but it has alot more to it than the cheap one that came with the bassinet.

I wish I could help, but my DS hates his bassinet too. He sleeps in bed with us because I don't know what else to do.

Someone gave me this suggestion for my DD to get her use to her crib for the transition from her bassinet. She said she did it for her 2nd and 3rd kid and it really worked. When your DD falls asleep put her in the bassinet so she will eventually wake up in it. Hope this helps.

DS never, ever slept in his bassinet. He would sleep in the swing most of the time, so we moved that into our room and left him there.

ETA: At 2 months we put him in his crib where he stays for part of the night but after his middle of the night feeding he ends up back in the swing for the rest of the night.

ds didnt like his bassinet either, so i'm not good help. he sleeps in his carseat.
