DD's 1st birthday party THEME!!
What theme should I do????
I know I have some time, but I really want to start planning. I'd like to do pastel colors or bright pinks and purples. No primary colors. Not really my thing. 
It's going to be at a bar/restaurant.

what about OLIVIA? it's a cute theme and obviously matches her name. it could be really cute!
i know red isn't pastel but the theme is adorable! you could get your DD the same type dress and stockings! ahhh, now my mind is shooting out ideas!

If I had a little girl, I'd do a cupcake theme. The colors you want would work really well with a cupcake theme!

She's not really "into" anything. I mean, she loves Elmo, but that's only because that's all she watches. We don't really let her watch anything else.
She LOVES books but I had a book themed shower.
Danica, I like the idea of an Olivia party. Hmmmm.....didn't Jess do that for Em?

Yeah, I was thinking about going with the cupcake theme. What are you doing for Henry's 1st?

I did my kid's theme according to what he liked. That way, thinking back, I can say... oh yes, the Backyardigans he loved that show so much or Mickey the year we went to Disney. This year it's cowboy because he really likes horseback riding. I just to link it to his likes of that year.

I don't know what Jess you're talking about!
ETA: Cupcakes is cute, it's on my list of theme ideas. DD loves Elmo too so that is also an option. I like the Olivia idea too now- and I would totally find a dress and stockings to match.

I did sort of a cupcake/pastel pink theme.
I got really cute invites on shutterfly - they had a pic for every month and a cupcake. I made cupcake favors that we displayed on a cupcake tower. I made her one of those giant cupcakes to smash at the restaurant. She had a light pink dress and the decorations were light pink and silver. My pics are on FB (I can never get them to upload here)

We did sugar n spice for the twin girls. For sugar I did lollipops and the spice was cinnamon sticks. The invitations were lollipops I ordered from etsy. The centerpieces were light pink swirly lollipops, pink and white flowers and then cinnamon sticks through out.
The girls wore light pink tutu's with brown ribbon.
I will look this weekend for pictures.
