DD's 2nd bday party is this weekend!
We're having an outdoor party this weekend for our DD's 2nd birthday!
Question for you, I'm not a fan of opening present at a party.
If a guest specifically wants her to open their gift, I'm fine with taking her aside to do that but I just invision if we all watched her open presents .... she'd end up with doubles (she always has) and that my DD would want to open everything right away ..... what if I didn't like one of the toys and wanted to return it! LOL
Thoughts?

We don't open presents until after the party. Honestly, I couldn't imagine anyone (besides mabye a grandparent) making a request for my DD to open their gift right then and there.
eta: if someone does ask I would probably tell them no because then DD would want to open all of them and it will take too much time

This! For DS's 1 and 2nd b-days we did it after the party. No one requested us to open their gifts there. Honestly, for both b-days DS had no interest in the gifts. My niece who's 10 months older sat right next to Mason and cared more about the presents then he did. It was funny

I don't open gifts at birthday parties.
And as a guest I don't like it either because then my kid wants to play with your kid's new toys and that's not necessarily okay.
