DD's testing is tomorrow - UPDATED
I know they're fairly standard tests, but I'm so nervous/anxious about them. She's having a VCUG (where they inject dye in through a catheter to look at her kidneys), an x-ray of her abdomen, and a renal sonogram. This is all due to her having a bad UTI a month ago, they want to make sure everything is ok with her kidneys.
Wish us luck. I have no idea how I'll keep her sitting still for all of these things  I'm so anxious about having these dyes injected and x-rays done to her little body, but I know it's necessary to make sure everything's ok.

Update 7/26 Thanks for thinking of us ladies. I have guests in town staying with us so I'm not on much lately.
The testing went well, thankfully! I made 8am appointments, so that was perfect...she wasn't sleepy yet, and the hospital was sooo quiet. The sonogram she did well for, but wanted to be picked up but had to lay still for like 15 minutes while the lady looked at both of her kidneys and her bladder...but she did really well.
Then they did the X-ray and the catheter/dye test. ALL of the techs, nurses & the doctor were soooo nice, it was the pediatric radiology dept so they were all so nice & patient. They filled her bladder w/the dye thru the catheter, and then waited for her to pee while they watched her kidneys & bladder on a screen. They were pouring water on her privates so she'd go quicker. She was crying the whole time practically, not b/c she was in pain, just that she wanted up. We waited, and waited, and waited for her too empty her bladder while she laid there-- my stubborn girl  But she finally went, and then we were done. We were back in the car 2 hours from when we got there.
The doctor on duty who performed the test said he THINKS all looks good from the preliminary reports, he doesn't see any reflux of her kidneys or bladder  but they'll send the info to her ped's office and we'll hear from them by Monday.
Thanks everyone. It really made me sympathize for all the moms who have to have even more invasive things done to their kids.

Good Luck! I can't imagine watching your DD go through it, but I can say it's totally painless and does go rather fast (I have radioactive renal scans every 6 months for my kidney issues).

Corrine, I am glad things look good. I am also glad she cooperated. Its could be so scary for a child. I b et you are relieved.

I just saw this . I'm so glad it went well. I can't imagine how hard it was anticipating then having to go throuigh it all. I hope you have nothing but good news from their findings!
