Dealing with DIFFICULT Coworkers?? (A little long)
How do u???
I have 3 girls I work with. I'm in the childcare field. This new girl started after me, about 3-4 months after. She was nice in the beginning, but things slowly changed. She began a pack with the 2 other girls. Now! they are all SOOOOOO COLD to me, and I didn't DO anything!!! So I brought it up to my boss yesterday, I'm not the type to complain, but it's to the point where I am SOOO uncomfortable to be there! And I can't work correctly.
So what do u ladies think??
thanks!

Re: Dealing with DIFFICULT Coworkers?? (A little long)
im a pretty confrontational person so i would go right up to them and ask what their deal was.
if youre uncomfortable with that, try asking the newer girl what the problem is. if she was once nice chances are she is a nice person that just succumbed to peer pressure.

I would just be the bigger person and get on with doing my job, ignoring them at all costs, only dealing with them when you have to.

I know it must be hard to work under this type of stress Honestly I would just do my job, be professional, and hope this girls grow up and follow suit

I would do the same thing. There was someone in my office who did the same thing to me - we were good friends even for awhile and then she turned on me and formed a little clique. We were working long hours so work was miserable - I was considering finding a new job.
Luckily, she's no longer with the company but, there is still some friction between me and other people that lingers...

Re: Dealing with DIFFICULT Coworkers?? (A little long)
I learned a long time ago that work is not the place to go to with the mindset that you will be making friends there. If you do, and are lucky enough to have a pleasant relationship, that's great, but more often than not, I've found the people I end up working with have more issues than the clients we provide services to.
In places I have worked at where this kind of stuff goes on, 9 times out of 10, it's because people are there to hang out and socialize, and not actually do any kind of work.

ITA! I try to avoid people like that at work. The bosses definitely notice who is there to work vs who is there to chat and socialize.
