Dear Clueless people,
Yes I am going back to work on Monday and yes I am sad. Did you think I was going to respond, "I'm so happy to be leaving DD all day!"
and by the way the continual reminder that DD looks nothing like me is even better. Perhaps phrasing it, "she looks so much like your DH" would be better than, "WOW she looks NOTHING like you at all!"
But then again, perhaps you are the same people that told me during pregnancy that I looked like i was about to "pop" from my 34th week on and reminded me how full my face got from having a girl.

Awww...I know it's so hard to go back to work...no words can help.
I get that ALL THE TIME about my DD...she is a minime to my husband...and if it makes you feel any better, I'm 2 for 2 - my newborn looks just like him too!
To laugh it off, I just say "look, she's got my hands though"
