Dear Dunkin Donuts...

thank you for creating the triple chocolate muffin. as i sit here and consume a muffin that is most likely full of enough calories to kill a small horse....i thank you for it as it is making my morning/afternoon go smoother. since its sweet enough to give a cavity at 20 paces.....i can only eat it one bite every 10-20 minutes. but i must say i thank you for putting not just chocolate chips in the muffin...but actual CHUNKS of chocolate. its like you knew i needed you today.

much appreciation to your company for happily distracting me....however i must run around my office like a jack russell terrier on crack now, since the sugar is about to kick in!

YEEEEEEEEEHAWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!

MMMMMmmmmmm....

I'm trying so hard to count the calories...but I've become such a chocoholic in the past few years...

would it be a sin to buy one, take one bite then throw it away....I bet it would.

Maybe on the way to go skiing in Vermont this weekend- at least I'll know I'd be about to burn at least as many calories as in that muffin!

Probably (okay, definitely) not as good as this triple chocolate muffin, but I make low fat muffins that are really good (sorry to hijack!). Mix one box of devil's food cake mix with one can of pumpkin with an electric mixer. (Don't worry, you can't taste the pumpkin, I promise! I hate pumpkin...)

The batter will be REALLY thick, but don't add anything to it. Makes 12 regular muffins or 36 mini muffins. (I use a nonstick muffin tin and no papers, but you can use papers if you prefer) Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

They are MUCH better tasting and more moist if you let them cool, then store them in a ziplock bag or tupperware container for at least a few hours. They tend to seem a bit dry on the top when they first cool, but sitting around in the plastic makes them very moist. I think they're better the next day. They can be stored for about 5 days+ in plastic or you can freeze them.

They are only about 170-180 calories per serving (3 mini muffins or 1 regular muffin), with 2.5 g of fiber. They're pretty filling, too.
