Dear girl in my office that makes the microwave popcorn everyday at 2:15pm like clockwork.
I hate and I repeat HATE that smell. I want to BARF when I smell it. It just makes me and a bunch of other people in this office want to puke our guts up.
Thanks for making my lunch tumble in my stomach.

Some people are really inconsiderate. I have a diva in my office that has OCD with cleaning and she has this toilet tablet smelling air freshener in her cubicle that everytime I go by boss' office all I want to is barf and he doesnt know Im preggo yet!

That is so annoying. 2 people in my office were doing that everyday around the same time (2:15pm) because they were on a diet and thought that would be a good healthy snack, and they rest of us would be sick from the smell. So I finally said something to her. I am a very honest and up front person. I was not rude or mean in any way (they actually respected that I said something to their face). I just asked politely if they could not make it everyday, maybe just once or twice a week. They agreed and everything is fine now. They have actually gone to other things that they enjoy now, and maybe now once a month they make popcorn, which noone can complain about. I think that was very fair and nice of them!

We've had wars in our office about microwaving fish, we actually moved a microwave into the file room, and that's the "fish" microwave-that's what we settled on...

my whole building constantly smells like curry, and it's sooooooooooooo strong at lunchtime. I LOVE Indian Food, but day after day, I can't take the smell anymore!

Last week at DH's office building someone put popcorn in the microwave and the butter caught fire. No major damage but the company made a rule - "Microwave popcorn is not allowed - any employee caught doing so will be fired." Well one of his co-workers thought is was a joke and proceeded to make his popcorn in the microwave. A few minutes later building security came into his office and warned him about the "new rule." He said he thought it was a joke but promised not to do it again.
Maybe you could tell your boss the microwave popcorn is a fire hazard
