Please stop calling me for the sole purpose of seeing if I will pick up the phone. I may not call you the **second** I go into labor, but I promise you will be notified before your first grandchild arrives in this world.

Mine calls daily, and says "Well, Anything yet?" NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!


I told my DH, NO CALLS until we have ten fingers and toes and 2 balls. I can't take the stress of it.

Awww this would have been my mom too. With DS I went early. The one AM everyone at the house (mom, dad, sister) all went their own ways and went shopping...LOL.

If she's anything like how my mom used to be, she's just excited.
Be patient.

OMG! Do we have the same Mom?? We must be long lost sisters!!! My mother called me 4 times----4 TIMES in a 10 minute time frame yesterday....and then had my stepdad call me 3 minutes later b/c she was worried that I didn't answer the phone. I got out of the shower to see that they had called a total of 5 TIMES in less than 15 minutes. I thought for sure that somebody in the family had died!!

I love my Mom to death and I know that they're both worried sick since I'm on my own and on bedrest---but come on, now....5 TIMES??? Oy vey!!!

I feel bad cause I yelled at her when I got her on the phone....but she needs to learn to relax! She's first on my call-list if anything happens!

Glad to see I'm not the only one here with a neurotic mother. But, at least we know they care, right???

I have to admit, I have done this as well with friends I have been excited for (as well as my own sister)

Thankfully I'm a scheduled c/s so I don't have to deal with that. Only who wants to be at the hospital first

awww my mom's not really like that, but I'm sure my MIL will be! and she lives 2 blocks away, so she'll probably be stalking our house when the time comes to see if our cars are here

I made the mistake of telling my mother that we would call her AFTER the baby is born...

You can't imagine the lecture I got!!

I finally had to say that I would call her but she is not allowed to come bother me until after the baby is born.

She has a way of making me nervous and crazy!
