Re: Dec 2007 Momsss
Matthew is fine. He'll be officially 3 months old tomorrow! He appears to be teething a bit early. He was colicky from about 5 weeks until a couple weeks ago (maybe from gas, though I tend to think he gets overstimulated easily), but that seems to have passed, thank God! He's basically a happy little guy when he's not miserable from something, if that makes any sense!
His development seems good, and he rolled over (tummy to back) the first time on Sunday--it was so exciting! I've had to put away his 0-3 month clothes now, he's in 6-9 months.
His 2 month appt. was good, though he hated every minute of it, especially the shots. We go for polio and pneumonia next week.
I am doing so-so. My weight actually went back up, and I can't say my diet is bad. And the baby blues I had earlier came back a couple weeks ago, along with exhaustion, despite the fact that DS sleeps most of the night many nights now. So I went for thyroid tests and bloodwork. If that doesn't turn up anything, I'll talk to the doctor about the possibility of PPD. I'm trying to keep busy though and registered for a parents series at our library and storytime for DS, and I'm looking at local playgroups and the Little Gym, hoping to meet some other parents and babies in our town.
Hope everyone and their little guys and girls are doing well! Theresa, I hope Sofia is feeling much better today.

Re: Dec 2007 Momsss
Hi Theresa and all the other December mommies
Things are good over here. Christopher is doing very well. We went to teh dr last week for our 2 mth visit, he was all smiles until they gave him the shots! But he got over that quickly.
He weighs 16 lbs and is 25.5 inches , in the 95 percentile for both. Everyone comments on how my DS looks like he is 5 months old. He spits up alot, but the dr doesn't seem concerned as he is not uncomfy at all, so we are just letting it ride. He does love to eat, get close to 40 oz per day! its amazing! DH keeps saying that this kid is going to eat us out of house and home!! Most nights he is sleeping through, 10:30-5:30/6, takes a bottle then back to bed until 9. And he is always happy unless the bottle doesnt get into his mouth fast enough
And we have his baptism this Sunday, I am so excited!
I go back to work next Thursday. I have alot of mixed feelings, I am happy to be going to work and doing something outside of the house. But every time I look at that little face I can't imagine not beign with him all day! So we will see, I am going to try full time but if I hate it then I will probably find something part time soon.
I totally can't believe that our DC are almost 3 months old already! Time flies!
Lets seem some update pics ladies!!!

Re: Dec 2007 Momsss
DD turned 3 months today AND I went back to work. (or should I say yesterday since at this point it is past midnight )
Anyway, I didn't want to make my mother crazy so I resisted the temptation to call every 5 seconds and only called once. My poor little baby was crying hysterically in the background. That may have been the reason I didn't call again - I couldn't handle it.
When I picked her up my mom said she basically cried all day. She didn't nap for more than 20 minutes at a clip. Mind you, DD usually naps for a minimum of 3 hours at a time. I *think* she wasn't used to the environment so she was upset. My mother thinks she is too young to know the difference and that there is something wrong with her.
The only good thing was that she drank from a bottle with a minimum of fuss. I will be buying more Playtex Drop-ins now.
I won't even get into how work was.

I agree with you, my DS gets over stimulated in a new environment and doesnt sleep well and cries much more than at home!
I am glad the bottles worked!
on going back to work, I go back next week, not looking forward to it!!!
