dec moms who had doc appts today!
how did they go????
I am now 1-2cm dialated and cervix is opened and 25% effaced and head is dropped...doc says I may have the baby before my appt next wed!!! hopefully, I am getting excited! she thinks I will def not make it to my due date (28th) and will suprised if I make it to christmas!
when she did the internal she did it with more force this time says shes ok with me having the baby now so she will see what happens lol

My appt isnt until Friday but Ive been dying to hear how everyones went today...
That is so exciting...so the dr. really thinks you will go by next week or at least early?
My dr. didnt say anything about me going early...but that gives me hope--although it was almost a week ago that I was 2-3 and 90%, but I think my baby was still high up.
Isnt it soo exciting to hear that your body is actually doing something??
Did it hurt when they did the internal
forcefully?
Did the dr. say what he was basing you going early on? Like was it the baby dropping or the measurements or something else?

its very exciting knowing your body is doing something! i think she was just basing it off the fact that last week my cervix was just softened and now its open and last week i was maybe a finger tip and now I am 1-2cm and the baby was dropping and now she has dropped so I am moving along...she hadn't done a very forceful internal before because she didnt want me in labour but this time she did and then said she will see if that does anything haha and yes it kind of hurts but it you prepare yourself its not so bad...feels like she stuffed her fist up my lady part :s sadly enough I am getting used to it...never thought I would say that!
I still think that you will be next you are further along then me, your little one just needs to drop down from the sound of it, hopefully friday you will find out more cant wait to hear!

I go tonight, so we will see, I am hoping for something.... baby is definitely lower than last week, I can feel the butt and even my DH said its not a high as it was just a few days ago. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

I went today, My due date is Jan 2, and I am 1 cm dilated. doc said that she cannot say when to expect. I gope i go a little early!

cervix softening is a step though! mine was just softening last week and this week its 25% still not a lot but hey its something lol
you could still go soon you just never know!

Dont worry--it doesnt mean anything about when you'll go...Ive been sitting here 3 cm and 90% and nothing...we'll see what happens on Friday...I think most people dont start dilating until they have contractions(at least most people I know)
I just think all of our babies are waiting for the snow this week to make their appearances!!

lol I actually told DH that...shes going to wait until the middle of a snow storm to make her apperance...we live in the country on a farm and it takes a half hour without snow to get to town! thank goodness hes got a big truck with 4x4!

Okay finaly my update, last night was a long night.
I went to the doctor and like Michelle I am not dilated at all! And they are thinking I am having a pretty big baby, so I went for a growth sono at the hospital last night and they are estimating that the baby is currently 9lbs. My due date is next week so we decided to see if nature takes it course in the next week, if not I will get another sono to check on baby's size, and most likely get a c-section at the end of next week.
The good thing is that the sono tech said the baby looks great, is moving around really well, still has plenty of swimming room and my fluid levels are good!
So we will see.
