deet question (bug spray)
My dr gave us a slip that said....important ingredient: DEET <10%
So i got one with no deet that is good...
my friend who goes to the same dr said that the dr told her that it had to have some deet in it in order to repel mosquitoes...so I called up...the receptionist said oh the no deet should be great...then I told her what the dr said...and of course she changed it to it should have some deet in it
anyway, so my sister in law said that she remembers the dr (same one) telling her when they were babies that they shouldn't have any deet...but maybe it changes when they are 2?
I have a 2 year old, and an 8 month old....does anyone know the real info? Thanks!

There are ones with Picardin as opposed to Deet. Not sure what the deal is with the Picardin, but I don't spray anything with Deet on myself or my kids.
I'm on the hunt for those coil bracelets that repel them. If anyone sees them, please let me know where!

Not really other than it's a pesticide that may affect the central nervous system.
My logic is that I wouldn't roll around in a lawn just treated w/ pesticides, so I won't spray it on us.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I bought some bug spray at Whole Foods for DD that doesn't have any deet in it. They had quite a few options.

My ped said to use something with less than 10% deet but I don't know if that means that something with no DEEt wouldn't work
