Everyone always asks where to go that isnt too far...we made that trip...
We actually stayed in Harrahs casino since we get room and food comps otherwise we would have stayed on the shore BUT from there everything was within 20 minutes.
Cape May- Gotta check this area out. I heard it can be a little pricey but the area is just beautiful! We hung out on the beach, ate seafood galore, went shopping throughout, did a horse and buggy ride through out the town and I saw signs for all kinds of tours.
Ocean City NJ- hung out on the beach and boardwalk. They had "Gillians pavillion" which was an arcade and amusement park. Tons and Tons of boardwalk food, candy, ice cream , etc...
Then we took an hr ride into langhorne PA to sesame place. I must admit...Gilly liked it but it certainly was not Disney World. The character lunch was DISGUSTING but the shows and the rides were all VERY cute.
All in all, we had a pretty good time. I highly recommend this for a weekend getway or small vacation.
