Definitely not my best week
My father arrived on Saturday - all is going well so far, other than having to prepare a big dinner for us every night - it's exhausting and time consuming. But everything went down hill Sunday. We found out we owe about $7k in taxes  Another $10k in a month from now for our 2008 estimated tax payment... so, um, yeah $17k in two months  Then, that night we hear running water in the basement, go downstairs and the basement is flooded. Call the plumber and pay $600 that we don't have to have him clean out the main water pipe which was clogged with tree roots (meaning, it will happen again) and a baby wipe  Monday, wake up, running to the train, fall down some stairs and sprain my ankle.
Then, the kicker. This AM, I had to run to move my dad's car, because he parked it back asswards and was blocking the street. As I'm running to get the keys, I slip on the pavement and land BAM on my hand, which is now swollen and hurts SO bad. Somehow I managed to get Alex to school, and myself to work, but I'm starting to suspect that I broke my pinky.
And it's only Tuesday

Oh no! Hopefully things will get better as the week goes on. I was thinking of you yesterday and hoping that your dad is doing ok.

Things will get better. These things do have a way of working themselves out.
I think someone needs a mental health day.
