defrosting chicken question
I forgot to take the chicken I'm making tonight out to defrost. I typically do not like defrosting meat in the microwave. I have two thin sliced chicken cutlets..how long do I set it for in the microwave?
TIA!

Re: defrosting chicken question
I would run it under cold water for a while instead of using the micro

good idea! Thanks! I prefer not to nuke food if I don't have to.

Re: defrosting chicken question
I put mine in a tupperware filled with room temp. water when I get home and they are ready when I need them (about 2 hours later). You can also keep changing the water if you want every half hour to an hour or so.

I do this all the time. Works better than microwave IMO

Re: defrosting chicken question
I submerge it in warm water in a bowl. I dont like using the defrost in the micro...I find it will cook the chicken.

I do the same thing for the same reason. The chicken will defrost pretty quickly.
