Delivery question
For the moms that were induced, how much notice did the doctor give you before it happened? Did you go in one day and they said "ok tomorrow is the day" or did they give you a couple of days to get affairs in order.
I want to know what to expect in the upcoming weeks.

Re: Delivery question
We got to a point around 33 weeks that he said after I have my weekly sonogram and then go see him, we could go with a few hours notice. At that point though I had low fluid and the difference between the weights of the two was growing. At 35 weeks he told me to head back to the hospital at 6:00 pm. Since I had a history of asthma they decided not to do the ceverdil at night and he told me to head there in the morning. I had about 16 hours notice, but would have been 4 hours.
The issues I had were identical twin related so would not apply, but I also knew that at 37 weeks I was going to be induced.

Re: Delivery question
I think it would depend if there was any concern outside the norm for you or the babies (blood pressure, amniotic fluid level, etc.). If I didn't go into labor on my own they would have scheduled my induction for 38 weeks (I think most doctors do this).
I found out in my 35th week that I had Cholestasis and so I was going 2x per week to get the amniotic fluid checked. The day I went into labor they were going to possibly induce me if the levels were low - I just happened to be in labor anyway. So it all depends on what goes on down the road for you. How many weeks are you now? I hope you are feeling well!

Re: Delivery question
I was told by my dr's that we would induce if I made it to 38 weeks. So when 38 weeks came, I scheduled my appt. It worked out well bc I was able to schedule it when the dr. I liked most was going to be on duty at the hospital.

Re: Delivery question
my doctor wanted to do a c-section at 40 weeks, I was like - I knew I would be having a c because baby a was transverse and b was breech.
however - the babies had other ideas - at my 37 week check up my blood pressure was really wacky and high - so I was sent to the hospital from there. When they finally got it under control and were going to let me go home (which was the next day anyway- i was there overnight for that.- i ended up going into labor that afternoon, right before i was going home! my doctor had me labor all night and scheduled a c for the next morning.

Re: Delivery question
I was to have a scheduled c-section at 37 weeks no matter what, but my doctors told me to be ready to go anytime after 30 weeks.
I was going for checkups 3x a week the last few weeks (I had identicals though who shared the same placenta), and on Wed they found some issues and sent me right away to the hospital for steroid shots, then almost kept me in becuase I was having slight contractions. My doctor called me the next day and said my c-section was being moved up to the next day, so i had only 24 hours to prepare. That was at 36 weeks.

Re: Delivery question
At 38 weeks my doctors would not induce me, because they were afraid of having complications with my uterus & there was no sign of me going into labor naturally (wasn't dilated)
A couple of days later I scheduled a c-section. I was 39 weeks by the time I had them.
