Depo Provera... Anyone??

My last shot was in August and I would have been due for another one in November but my (then) fiance and decided that the side effects of the shot were not worth it anymore considering we were getting married two weeks later... so I went on the pill.
I took the pill for the month - AF came... but REALLY light.
I started my second pack - but got really sick for about a week and had to discontinue the pack. That was the third week of Dec.
Now, I am a week late - and I've taken a handful of tests - all negative... then again, the last test I took was last Thursday.
The last time I stopped the shot - I got right back on track with AF... but this time not so much.

So I guess my question is:
Has anyone who has been on the Depo shot had irregularities in AF after stopping it?
And, how long did it take for you to get back to "normal" after stopping the shot?

I am not liking the idea of worrying about AF showing up unexpectedly... especially while I'm teaching.

im a depo girl.. i never had side effects (cept now i have arthritis that may or may not be from the shot.. my fam is very prone to it at an early age)
my last shot was april.. i only finally got AF late december...
since then its been a week on week off.. finally its now 2 weeks without AF..

its the third time ive been off depo.. and it usually takes a good year to get back on track (sometimes more)
its an intramuscular injection.. they say doing some cardio (treadmill etc) helps get it out of your system quicker...dont know how true that is...
i loved my depo.. and after i hopefully get preggers soon.. ill be back on it.. since i want one and done... but its really not for everyone.. i get really sick with all diff. types of bcp pills so it was one of my only options

if you dont get a normal af in 6 months id say call the ob/gyn.. maybe they can give u something to make her come.. for me i was waiting till feb but got her late dec so didn't bother.. but im using OPKs so if i dont see any ovulation in 3 months ill call the doc
