Desktop computers, new vs. older monitor
Anyone that has recently gotten a desktop, do you buy a new monitor with it or use one you already have? I have quite a few monitors and want to get a new computer. Sales guy is highly recommending a new monitor.

Re: Desktop computers, new vs. older monitor
Depends how old and what type of connectors on them. Newer computers are only digital (HDMI, DVI) where as older monitors depending on the age were only analog (vga).
I'd it has DVI or HDMI, you should be good. Newer computers depending on specs can do up to 4k. So depending on what your doing, you experience could vary. Most everyday use don't need 4K video but don't want to make assumptions.

Nope. I now use an older 36 inch tv as my monitor.
