Dessert table/bar for 1st birthday?

Dessert table/bar for 1st birthday?
I usually always serve a birthday cake, cookies and brownies for parties but I want to mix it up a little for DS's 1st birthday this year.
What are some other things you would include on a dessert "bar"? Do you have any pictures of how you set it up?

Maybe make your own sundaes, some candy, home made lollipops, make your own candy bag with a bunch of different candy, and get plain white paper bags and let the kids and or adults decorate their own candy bag.
DS is only 6 months old and Im already thinking about stuff like this for his 1st bday too!

You can do cupcakes and have the kids decorate their own with icing and toppings.
