When you realize that they're leaning against you & your clothes have been washed with regular detergent - and you're tired of paying for Dreft.
What I did is washed a few outfits with my regular laundry. If they wore them without a reaction, you can switch.

Re: Detergent question
Thanks Barb...I'm getting tired of paying for Dreft. He leans all over me and his face and body don't break out. I think it's time to switch.
I'm really saving money lately...first the formula and now the dreft...

Re: Detergent question
I use All Free and Clear since he was 3 months. I only buy it when it's on sale. When I run out, I'll probably just use the detergent I use for our clothes.

LOL Exactly!! I just use a Dye Free, Perfume Free Detergent for everyone in the house and leave out the strong fabric softner on her clothes.

Re: Detergent question
I used the dreft till I ran out of it and I had a couple of jugs of it that I had got as gifts. I had mixed some of her outfits with my laundry to see if she would have a reaction to the regualr detergent which she didn't but I just recently switch to all Free and clear I like that much better

Re: Detergent question
I've used All Free and Clear and Oxydol Free and Clear since Kevin's birth. I also use Bounce Free in the dryer. No problems...Knock Wood!

Re: Detergent question
Good question...I was wondering this myself. Glad to see I might be able to switch over, once this last bottle of Dreft is done.

Re: Detergent question
I bought one big bottle of Dreft for each kid, and when it was all gone, the baby clothes got washed in what ever detergent I had at the time.

Re: Detergent question
I stopped around a year old and now use All Free & Clear on everything. I don't use fabric softener on the kids' clothes.

Re: Detergent question
I stopped at a year. I used Dreft only until that time. Now I can only use All, but not free and clear because that effects my skin. Tide gives Molly a rash.

Me too. I never washed the kids clothes in anything but our regular Tide.

Re: Detergent question
I've been using All Free & Clear or even Purex Free & Clear (which is pretty cheap) since about 3 months. The dreft was just too expensive, even though I lvoed the smell of it.
