Detox Suggestions?

I really want to do this - I don't know if its just in my head, but I want to clean everything out and start fresh - I think it will motivite me and keep me motivated through a diet, and over all lifestyle change to eat better - the more I read, the more I'm convinced changing the way I eat will solve most, if not all of my problems - Weight, fatigue, stress, etc etc.

I'm just getting overwhelmed - and let's be honest. I have a FT job in the city, a husband who works 14 hour days, a house, a dog and two boys 2 & $ years old. - There really isn't a whole lot of (or ANY at this point) time for myself.

I have a good 30 (to 40) lbs. I would like to lose I'm just looking for the simplest way to do this ......and something that I can realistically transport to work with me every day!

TIA Ladies !!

Love Grace juice cleanse is amazing. Do a two day. It will get you started. Then follow it with a clean and healthy diet. I'd be happy to write an exercise plan for you if you'll tell me what type of equipment you have available.

Re: Detox Suggestions?

Thanks - I have a quality elliptical (that has been neglected in the corner for a shamefully long time)
I can't get to the gym - it's just not in the cards for me at this point w/ our work schedules and the kids at this age.

But I'd be willing to purchase some basics ..........

Re: Detox Suggestions?

How about a magic bullet? I think they have cups that act as a shaker and you take them with you? If you look on pinterest you will find tons of detox juices. You could also check out Fat Sick and Nearly Dead. He goes on a crazy juice fast

The eliptical is great! Try to do that for at least 30 minutes 3x per week.

I have some other great no equiptment necessary ideas for you but I am at work. I will write to you by the week's end. :)

I have one of those .....the Nutri Bullet Chat Icon See? EXCELLENT intentions, HORRIBLE follow through !!

There is a lid on the cup, but they get really nasty if they settle .......maybe I just need different combo of stuff on the days I'm not going to drink it immediately. Hmmmm, I still have the shaker for the Nutri System shakes it was this little metal ball thing, I wonder if that would work to mix it back up? I'm going to try.

I am in a similar situation. Work, kids, husband with long hours and commute. I started doing The Fresh Diet. It's a meal delivery service. The food is fresh and delicious. I just didn't want to have to think about food for awhile. I have lost 11 lbs in 4 weeks. It's expensive but not that bad when you consider how much food costs.

that's awesome. I considered it, but I did Nutrisystem in 2012, lost 15 lbs, and then gained it all back. The ease of it was awesome, the food was gross - but for ME, I need something that I can learn to work into my everyday life and learn to KEEP it going. I couldn't keep up any food delivery type diet w/ the cost ......
I also want to find something that will make me feel good (not just about the way I look Chat Icon Chat Icon which IS my biggest motivator) but about how I feel overall

Great job! 11 lbs is awesome!

So in addition to the elliptical. You should try something called TAbTa exercises.

Basically its 20 seconds of intense work followed by a 10 second rest period. You repeat that process 8 times. Each exercise takes a total of 4 mi utes and its quite effective

You do not need equipment and can be very creative about the exercises you choose. My suggestions are: burpees, squats, push-ups, sit-ups, planks, jumping jacks, mountain climbers, pull-ups

If you have weights you can do the same thing with bicep curls, tricep presses, overhead presses, etc

It's fast. You can do 2 TABaTA's in the am and 2 in the PM to break it up. I suggest people TABata the exercise of their choice during commercial breaks while they watch tv. It fits in anywhere. You can even do the squats at work on lunch. It's four minutes so you won't greet messy or sweaty.

Fit it in where you can.

If your goal is to make a lifestyle change and reset your diet I recommend the 21 day Standard Process Purification program. The shorter cleanses will clean you out but really won't help you to make long lasting changes. Feel free to FM me if you have a question about it. This is my personal account but I am a vendor on LiFamilies as well.
