okay peeps, need some job suggestions!
so i'm a teacher. but this summer, i'm not going to have 'summers off' b/c i'll have several workshops to go to, planning for next year to do, and family obligations, so going to the restaurant might not happen. as much as i love waitressing, i don't want to do it on the weekends and i can't expect them to be so flexible. so what are some suggestions just to make like $100 a week. just some cash to spend on gas and stuff for my classroom. i'm debating like walgreens...easy just for some easy cash. but i'm open!!!

Maybe do weekend receptionist work at one of the catering halls?? They usually have 2 -3 people that they rotate & alot of the time they pay cash each shift.
Good luck

Work somewhere where you'll get a good discount. Maybe Target or Kohls. I don't even know if they have discounts. Tutoring isn't a bad idea either. I teach also and some summers I'll tutor, but honestly I really hate doing it. Good luck!

I second the tutoring idea (this is what I will likely be doing). I'd also consider going to a temp agency to see what types of jobs are available. GL!

Re: okay peeps, need some job suggestions!
i thought about it but, and how horrible is this?, but i'm with kids ALL DAY, i think i need a break from them. teaching is literally birth control!! j/k, but i need something that is on the easy side. like, would a store hire me for one day a week?

Re: okay peeps, need some job suggestions!
Maybe it's because my region *****, but some of the workshops they offer are for per session. I was going to teach summer school, but not I am trying to fill up my summer with paid workshops and my principal is going to pay me some per session to help do schoolwide planning for the fall. I also have to do three weeks of coach training since I didn't do it last year. I think that is at least training rate. Maybe look on your region's website?

Re: okay peeps, need some job suggestions!
remember, alot of retailers may hold your discount for 30-90 days, therefore working just for the summer doesn't get you a discount. That is the one thing keeping me out of retail for our 2 month summer
