Devastated and heartbroken

I don't know where to post this but I just had a miscarriage @10 weeks. It all happened so fast. Everything was fine and then today I had a tiny bit of bleeding. Then a few hours later I passed the fetus and saw it. It was my baby on a maxi pad with eyes, head, everything! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon That image is burned into my head. I am so upset and I feel like I will never be the same or get over it. Now I am bleeding and cramping like crazy.

I got pregnant the first time with DS and again this time was on the first try. I counted my blessings every single night!! I knew how lucky that was. Just last night I thanked god for giving me two miracles!! I was so grateful for this and so happy. Why does this happen?!?! How am I supposed to go on with life? My sister and I were due a month apart. Chat Icon

I am sorry to anyone who has/had it worse. Right now it just feels like the end of the world. As soon as I got my BFP I envisioned my whole life ahead of me and it included that baby which is now in a plastic bag so my OB can test it.

Re: Devastated and heartbroken

Thanks everyone. Yesterday was the hardest day of my life. I just want to run out of my house and never stop running until I can escape this reality. Chat Icon

I feel so bad for my DS, I have been crying so much and he doesn't understand why Mommy is so sad. I am trying to be strong for him but this is just so incredibly hard. I can't get that image out of my head. I just wish this happened weeks ago, I think I might have been able to handle it better. I was just getting comfortable- I bought DS a big brother shirt.

I just don't know what to do with myself right now. I keep pacing around because if I sit still I have to think about it. I wish I could fast forward a few weeks and feel better. Right now it feels like I will never be happy again. My 12 week appointment was right before valentines day and my birthday. I was going to tell everyone then. Now those days are going to be reminders of what I don't have. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Devastated and heartbroken

I am so, so sorry for your loss and what you experienced.

The only advice I can offer is that it takes time... and don't be afraid to talk to people about it (on here and in real life). That is what helped me.

Re: Devastated and heartbroken

I am so sorry for your loss and those words dont seem enough sometimesChat Icon Its truly a gut wrenching experience and when I had my M/C I honestly didn't know how I would be happy again or even live a normal life. That was last may and while it seriously took a long time for me I think once I passed my EDD in december something changed and I seemed to accept it. I know the timing is different for everyone. It really did tear me apart and I have two other kids at home so it was hard to hide it from them as they didn't know I was pregnant.

I know you will be okay, give yourself as much time as you need, stay busy if that works for you and allow yourself to grieve your lossChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I am so sorry. I cannot even begin to imagine what you are going through. All I can say, is to just take it a day at a time, and in time you will start to feel whole again. Chat Icon Chat Icon
