I am feeling really really heartbroken today (re: little girl in johnnys school)...
There is a little 3 year old girl in Johnnys school who was taken to CHOP (childrens hospital of philadelphia) before the holidays...
She was born with a very rare heart defect..I'm not sure of the specific name but I do know she is very sick. We saw this little girl every single morning and she would stop and say hello to Johnny and smiled at him. Her mom told me that she thinks johnny is "so cute". When I heard she was rushed there, I was devestated but have been reading her updates weekly..
She has been fighting infection after infection and was just removed off the list for a heart until her infections and fevers stop. She was reintubated after having them removed last week....she keeps signing to her family that she wants to go home..and all tehy can do is pray that things turn around and she can get back on the list for a heart.
It is so unfair. I don't even really know this girl well but it has touched me like you wouldn't believe. I cry when I read the updates..her poor family has gone through hell and all they can do is wait.
If you have any prayers left to spare, please say one for her. Her name is Sarah and she is a wonderful little girl.
