DH had a horrible story from work today
Dh got a call in his precinct that a baby was brought to the hospital. The baby was only a few weeks old. The baby died from SIDS. DH said the father was besides himself. He tried to give him CPR but it didnt work. DH said that when they went to the hospital after the baby was pronounced dead he saw the baby laying on a gurny (sp?) with a towel over it. He walked away and couldnt look at it. One of the detectives had to take pictures and told the other cops not to go into the room. DH came home and gave DS a huge hug and didn't want to put him down. This is the part of the job he hates

My son died of SIDS at 4 1/2 months old. Diffently makes me want to hug my little one a little tighter when I hear about others!

My Dh went to one yesterday the baby was 4 weeks old and had a cleft pallet and something went wrong while he was sleeping and died. He had to go to the house and take pictures. He was so upset and felt so badly for the parents. Why do these things happen? I dont get it!!
I was almost in tears it made the hairs on my arms stick straight up.. I went and hugged DD so tight and thanked God for her..

It is just so horrible. I couldnt imagine. I am constantly checking DS when he is sleeping to make sure he is breathing. It is just so scary b/c they really have no idea why it happens or what causes it.
