DH has 2 sisters...(xmas gift related)
One is soooooooo picky, so hard to buy for and she usually takes everything back.
The other is super easy...its easy to get her lots of stuff she'll love and she has lots of hobbies so finding her gifts is a breeze.
I want to get the tough one a gift card to J Crew or the mall but I'll feel bad that the other one will have so many "thoughtful" gifts to open. WWYD?
TIA!

You could always buy the tough one actual stuff from J Crew and give her the gift receipt, knowing that she'll likely exchange it, but at least she gets to open something that feels more thoughtful.

ditto--i'd just buy stuff for her that is about the value of a GC and give it to her so she can return it if you are worried about hurt feelings.
either that or just be honest and say "hey i know you have such particular tastes--so i figured you'd rather just go look yourself after xmas for great sales!"

See if it were me getting the gift I'd rather just have the GC. Makes life easier for everyone.

Honestly, if she's that tough she'll probably appreciate that you gave her a gift card and let her pick out what she wants.
Maybe you can get her a couple of little token gifts to open, like lip glosses, make up brushes, make up bags, etc. SO that way she has stuff to open and still gets what she wants.
Why make yourself crazy??
