How much do you normally give/or what do you normally give your postal person and sanitation crew for the holidays?

postal employees are only allowed to take gifts in value up to $20.

I don't know what's customary for sanitation employees.

Our mailman is really nasty. I think we only gave him $10 last year. Normally, I would give $20.

Garbage men - $20 x 3

we will probably give our postal worker $20, but we are never home when the garbage men come, so I guess they will lose out. They come way before we wake up!

We give our mailman $60, but we also receive a lot of mail & packages, plus I'm on a first name basis with our mailman.

We also give our sanitation men $60 each (there's 3 of them).

ETA, our sanitation company sends out Christmas cards with the names of the men in the crew and they request if customers wish to give gifts, that they be mailed to the crew as opposed to left in mailboxes or taped on garbage cans (because of theft.) Chat Icon
