Dh has been stuck on the ramp to the CIP...
for like 45 mins He said it is soo flooded

I couldn't get on- I am back home- the clearview and van wyck are closed also

I've just been informed they've shut down the LIRR in both directions. We had a candidate coming in via the LIRR and he's over an hour late.
Our supervisors are all stuck in Queens and Nassau.

Port Washington Branch Customers:
LIRR service on the Port Washington Branch is temporarily suspended in both directions due to weather-related high water conditions at various locations along the branch.
Main Line Customers:
LIRR service on the Main Line through Mineola is temporarily suspended due to weather-related high water conditions. This affects trains on the Huntington, Port Jefferson, Hempstead, Ronkonkoma, Greenport, Oyster Bay and Montauk Branches.
Personnel are working on restoring service and we will continue to update you as information becomes available

DH just called. He's been trying to get to work for 2 hours now. His train was canceled. Then he tried to drive and every road was closed due to flooding. He was trying to catch a train in Amityville last I heard and it was late.

I will tell DH to take Northern Blvd all the way into work (Bayside). I wonder if he will have a problem (he works 1-9 today).

If Queens is this messed up, I am going to play hooky from school. I am going to turn the Prof's lessons against him. I am going to tell him the opportunity cost was just too high for me to come to school today.

The flood is in Great Neck, the train station looks like a sale at Christmas. Everyone is running around, hardly anyone has turned around to go home. My coffee man is so happy, he is making crazy money this morning.
