DH is going to the urologist tonight .... Infertilty related....
I think he is kind of scared and nervous. I am nervous for him, yet excited we are getting the show on the road so to speak... DH was having issues with ejaculation. ( it is not shooting out, just dribbling) For anyone 's DH who has gone to one, what can he expect..... TIA

My DH went and they found out he had a varicocele. Not a very big deal, many men have this. May be what is causing the "drip" in your DH's case.
He will have to drop and cough. He will be handled....and looked at. It isn't painful or anything -- they really need to not make a big deal out of it, it's not like they have to get into stirrups or anything!!!
Anyway, male factor is usually easily treatable, which is the good news. For varicocele, surgery is sometimes recommended. The problem is it takes another 6 months after the surgery (or more?) until DH's sperm are back up to snuff. So many men (mine included) opt not to do it right now, because I had issues too, so we went to IVF.

Thank you for letting me know. I keep telling him it is more invasive for a woman. So if he does not get surgery then I guess with IVF they can take his sperm- some how and get me pregnant....

I think it's very common for your DH to feel scared and nervous...that is how my DH felt. My DH has a bi-lateral varicocele and had to do some u/s and sperm analysis. What they have to do is nothing compared to the tests we are subjected to so he will be fine
The worst part is making the appt and going....after that both of you will be glad he went. Good Luck today!
ETA: I agree that male issues tend to be easier to overcome.

Good luck...
We are dealing with severe MF (and only MF) so I can relate....
They will do a full SA and blood work....The physical exam is a piece of cake...Nothing what I had to go through....
Just make sure your urologist is specializing in Male Infertility and is not just a "urologist"...trust me it makes a big difference....

I agree it's very important that your urologist specializes in Infertility. The first urologist DH went to didn't and we wasted so much time with him

UPDATE- The office called a few minutes before we left, they had a pipe burst and had to close the office becuase there was no running water. DH is going on Thursday night. He was so scared right before they called, I feel so bad for him, but he said he will do whatever it takes to correct the "problem" he is having, so that is a positive sign. I tried explaining to him what it is like for a woman, but I do not think it helped. Thank you for all of your responses.

My DH was going throught the same thing about a year and a half ago - his urologist diagosed him with prostitis which can cause the symptoms your DH has.
The good news is that with medication it can improve and when my DH went for his sperm anaylsis - all was normal - count and mobility.
