DH is working in 7 World Trade, anyone else?
I didn't know that until this morning, I am really uncomfortable with it.

Hang in there, On the up side, there is a TON of security in Manhattan today, so it is probably one of the safest days of the year.

No, but DH works (as he did then) at the NYSE...he sent me an email this morning...which he never does...telling me I'm the love of his life. I was like, "I love you but please don't be morbid; everything will be OK today!"

I have an appointment in the city today on Worth Street. I am wearing sneakers just in case I have to run. It's sad days when these are the things you have to think of just to do your job.......I will be thinking of all the innocents who lost their lives 6 yrs ago.

wow..that is so cute--I am usually at the NYSE everyday and it is very hard to forget that day when its so sad down there

I'm at 1 liberty street- right in front of the WTC. It is SO sad today, i basically walked through a funeral for 3,000 people this morning. You can't help but break down and cry. I'm not nervous for my safety, but i did say I love you and goodbye this morning to DH just in case.

Theres a lot of us that work downtown every day...we were here during 9/11 and during other tragedies...it can happen anywhere at any time.

DH works in the city everyday too, AND walked across the bridge to get home on 9/11/01. My mother was stuck in her NYC school until 6PM that day also.
It just hits a little harder when they call on 9/11 and they are there and you've already lost someone.
Not trying to make light of the everyday situation at all.

I live and work in downtown Manhattan. I wouldn't change that for the world. I love it down here and yes it's very sad...before 9/11 I had a beautiful view from my apartment of the Twin Towers and now it's just empty space
I think this tradegy hit too close to home for all of us.
