Have you explained to him about you not wanting him to miss the birth of the baby and all that?

Re: DH making career change

i am so sorry, that is such a hard thing to go thru. i am willing to bet that there are support groups in your area for women and mothers who are married to military pesonnel and are raising kids on their own.

i would definitely have a heart to heart with your DH (as calm as possible) where you tell him everything you are worried about and how you fear having to raise a child on your own - i don't think he really realizes the consequences of signing up just yet.

I am so sorry Chat Icon Chat Icon I would try to sit him down and have an honest talk with him - and tell him what your concerns are and what you are worried about. He can't ignore you - you have legitimate concerns you need to talk about. This decision will not only change his life - but yours and the baby's as well.

Re: DH making career change

upset is only a mild term i would use. You have every right to be outraged and angry. Your not being selfish .. but this is both of your guys child. He cant do this .. not now. He should wait a little bit. thats just my opinion.
