DH snores...Where should I put the baby to sleep at night
I want to try and put my DS (when he is born) in our room to sleep, but DH snores A LOT.
Did anyone have a DH that snores a lot and, if so, where did your DC sleep in the beginning? Was it a problem if DC slept in your room with the loud snoring and all...did it wake the baby?

Re: DH snores...Where should I put the baby to sleep at night
Hi, my DH snores & I do now (pregnant) but we never let that concern where our DC would sleep. As a matter of fact, we made sure NOT to make special arrangements for baby if we were blowdrying our hair, vacuuming, playing the radio, etc. & to this day DD will sleep just about anywhere, noise or no noise.
I'd definitely let DC sleep in the room w/ you; s/he will get used to it. You'll also appreciate not having to take the extra steps to baby when he/she does wake.

DS sleeps in our room and my DH snores like a mac truck. It's unreal sometimes...DS sleeps right through it. He also sleeps through the loud TV when he sleeps in the living room. The more they get used to, the easier it will be for them to sleep through anything.

Re: DH snores...Where should I put the baby to sleep at night
I snore very loud (I'm currently in the process of having sleep studies to remedy the problem). With DS, I would often sleep in a spare bed in his room for the first few months. It never bothered him.
I think it's good to get them used to sleeping through anything. I've known people that kept everything crypt quiet when DC was asleep, and now that DC are older, they have the hardest time sleeping if there is ANY noise going on anywhere.....
DH's snores will actually HELP DC.... (But, DH should really have his snoring checked out....)

Both DH and I snore and DD slept next to us for the 1st 4 months with no problems at all.
IMO I would get DC used to ANY noise while they're sleeping if you can.

Re: DH snores...Where should I put the baby to sleep at night
My DH snores soooooooo badly. But DS slept in my room - I think they oddly find it comforting, or at the very least it wasn't an issue with DS.
With the next one I think we may go straight to crib, depending on where we're living at the time, but that has to do more with my sanity than with the baby's sleep with snoring.

My DH snores like a bear, and Todd Jr stayed in our room for 4 months, he had no problems sleeping and at times he started to snore too! So I had to hear it on both ends....
