DH wants me to go out with him & his friends to a bar tonight...
I am in my 9th month of pregnancy and feel like a beached whale... call me crazy but the bar scene really isn't my thing right now! Especially the one they want to go to that is always packed out. I am also not feeling so hot. I think my sick rude coworker suceeded at spreading her germs.
I am going to tell him to go himself... I feel bad though, should I suck it up and go? Do any of you still do the bar thing? Just wondering if I was being lame lol
I personally think he just wants to drink and know that he has a DD

I say stay home. I would still go to a bar now but I'm only 6 1/2 months and I still wouldn't love it . . and would not want to go if it was packed. Tell him go, have fun, and get a ride from a friend! (first I thought you meant he wanted to have a women out with DD's from being preggo and couldn't figure that out . then I realized I was dumb and you meant designated driver  )

At that stage of the game I was all about letting DH go by himself. If anything I went to a block party and then would go home after an hour but mentally I wanted to just be home and relaxing!! I let DH enjoy his freedom while he could!

I wouldn't go. I haven't really been bar bound and send DH by himself. I hate being bumped and pushed and it's really hard to be in a lot of bars sober (at least in my opinion) I make a horrible DD too. I love to party myself and being around a bunch of people drinking is just no fun. And I get so tired! lol
Next week is DH's b day and I have to go out. I'll be 36 weeks then...but I don't plan to stay out long.
I'm happier at home, and DH can just be out and enjoy himself. It works well for us. lol

nope.. its really close to home and god knows I don't sleep anyhow. I would be more than happy to pick his drunk a$$ up... and I am sure I will be asked to escort him to taco bell too

I personally wouldn't do it...I went to a bar around 6 months pregnant to support my friend and her fundraiser and I def. didn't enjoy myself

I wouldnt go for all the money in the world- I am 38 weeks and DH and I were invited to his cousin's wedding tomorrow and I wouldnt even attempt that much less a bar- just too crazy.
Tell him to have a good time- its probably one of the last times he'll be able to hang out and enjoy himself!

I would offer that to him then. That way you get to relax and he still gets home safe.

it probably wouldn't bother me b/c when we go out now i am usually the "dd" designated driver so DH can drink. we can't PT or cab it down in FL and i can have a good time no matter what - so i've been out quite a few times just to hang around at a bar and not drink at all...so that aspect wouldn't bother me....but if you are uncomfy, tired, or don't want to be stared at then stay home...my SIL went to a bar 9 months pregnant a few years ago and it was kind of funny to see her in the bar - people were def looking at her!

Just joking.. I honestly wouldn't. Its Friday night and you know it will be crowded. I hate when people bump into me/my belly and I feel like that would totally happen more at a bar.

Yeah thats what I was thinking.. and I can't even get mad at them bc I don't belong in a bar in the first place!
I'm thinking maybe I will stop in to say hi to his friends and then leave him there until hes all good and wasted and ready to come home and talk my ear off (DH gets annoyingly chatty when drunk lol)

It would depend on the bar for me. If it was a chill place with booths or tables and I knew I could sit, then I might consider it if I wasn't feeling too tired. But if it's a packed place--no way! I said no to a bar party on Halloween because I couldn't imagine standing all night in a packed bar.
